Until further Notice The Transfer Station will not accept any form of Brush.
The Board of Selectmen have adopted a new User Guideand Fee Schedule for the Transfer Station.
Hancock residents can dispose of items such as old furniture and demolition debris at the Transfer Station. Residents must obtain a yellow transfer station card from the Town Office to prove residency to the attendant. Some items such as couches, beds and chairs have a small disposal fee.
Contractors who have demolition debris originating in Hancock can dispose of the debris at the Transfer Station. A letter from the resident where the debris originates will be required and all contractors must pay for disposal according to the fee schedule.
Any Transfer Station bills not paid by the end of the month will be mailed and assessed a $2.00 billing fee.
When a resident has a bill unpaid for 90 days they will be terminated of their privilege to use the transfer station until all invoices are paid in full.
