Household Waste Household trash is picked up on Tuesdays by Pine Tree Waste. Each bag must have a trash sticker prominently displayed. Residents are given 1 free sticker per week of residency in Hancock per year. If these are used before the new fiscal year begins, July 1, residents must buy stickers for $1.00 each. Bags cannot weight more than 40 pounds and need to be put curbside by 7:00 a.m. Household hazardous waste Options for hazardous items Household Hazardous Waste Collection is an event we participate in once a year. This year it will be Saturday, August 20th at Ellsworth Highschool.
