Dog Running at Large? The Town of Hancock has an Animal Control Ordinance. The Animal Control Officer must enforce the rules in this Ordinance as well as the State Rules concerning dogs. All dogs 6 months of age who reside within the Town of Hancock must be registered by December 31, 2007. Non-altered dogs (capable of producing young) are $11.00 while altered dogs are $6.00. The Town office will need to see the current rabies vacination and neutering certificate. After February 1st there is a $15.00 late fee per dog. After receiving a warrant for not having your dog registered there is a $25.00 fee.
